Amazon.com Product Description
The simply designed Casio G-Shock Classic digital watch for men offers shock resistance that's great for your most vigorous sporting activities. The durable rectangular black watch case measures 45mm wide (1.77 inches), and it's matched to a comfortable black resin sports strap. The face has two windows that show time (bottom) and date (top) as well as a circular display for the stopwatch function, which can measure events down to 1/100 of a second for the first 60 minutes (and down to 1 second from 60 minutes to 24 hours). It also offers elapsed and split time modes, and 1st-2nd place times, and it includes a countdown timer with a 24-hour range. Other timekeeping features include a multi-function alarm, hourly time signal (which can be turned off), and 12/24-hour formats. This timepiece also features an Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2039), ±15-second accuracy per month, Afterglow backlighting, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--which will stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving.

4 out of 5 stars Casio Digital Watch G-Shock   July 22, 2010
Former Captain
I have had several G-Shock Casios....still have most of them...with broken bands. The pieces all worked great, just can't wear them now. Replacement straps, for me, have been sub standard and ( after the first attempt and usage ) not worth the effort. I still buy them 'cause I use the light feature to briefly navigate dark areas at night and the alarm function is a backup for my beside clock. They are not too expensive and suit me to a T.

5 out of 5 stars great deal   May 26, 2010

I bought this primarily to use on the weekends whilst doing yard work or fixing up the house and wanted a reliable watch. Generally a digital water resistant watch goes for around $10-20 and for a few dollars more you get one that is 200 M waterproof, G-shock vibration tested and looks great! Additionally it has really positive reviews - a major plus.

I personally didn't want to spend +$40 on a digital watch as I don't think for the most part they're worth it. I did look at the more expensive G-Shock range but I cannot bring myself to spend $80 on digital watch. I don't need 15 time zones, compass or multiple count down timers etc - I just wanted a watch that I can tell the time, date and had an alarm. This fulfills these requirements for me.

The watch is a little bulky like others have mentioned but that's part of the G-shock styling. I think it looks really cool.

I do really like it and it's totally worth $34.
